Saishioten
Name: Saishioten Country: Jishin no Kuni
Description: The Saishioten way is actually one of much loyalty. They stick together like family and would do anything for their brethren, as their brethren would do anything for them. This loyalty is why they consider themselves a clan. Traitors have been few, if any over the years as the Saishioten only accept those who can become fully faithful to the underworld and to their new family.
To these zealots of the devil sending souls to the afterlife is the reason they do most everything they do. They want as many trustworthy people as possible on their side, sending the living to hell. They live of the cycle of killing and gaining more power, to kill again. They are opportunists and rarely do they pass up the chance to take a life when there are no obvious consequences. Even so, they are patient, and usually not hasty. They follow the rule that causing an incident that may later result in less sacrifice is poor judgment, and purposely doing so is outright sin.
There is no competition for souls between them as it is well understood that actions have reactions, helping your brother, means your brother will help you. By doing something like recruiting a new Saishioten, every soul the new member takes is also one you helped give to the underworld; also anytime you cause a non-believer to take a life it is also your indirect worship.
The Saishioten have done this for generations in good faith that one day their god, the Lord of the underworld would come and help them in life, before giving them a place in hell where they could be happy. For most, they believe this means that they will join at their gods side as his demonic army’s commanders. Their prophecy foretold of a man who could control the elements of the underworld with his own power, and how he would be the vessel of Saishioten’s god while walking among the Earth. One day when a boy appeared fitting the description, they took him and raised him as their leader.
Followers of this religion have secret arts. These arts are based on dark and evil foundations, granting powers that resemble necromancy. Those who join this cult like clan pledge themselves to populating the underworld with souls. For this they are rewarded with longer lives, and if they do happen to fall in battle, their afterlives will be spent in hells hierarchy rather than with the average doomed soul.
With each death they cause, clan members of the Saishioten dedicate the deceased ones soul to hell, in return they believe a small part of the soul becomes theirs, strengthening them indefinitely. Many of the abilities Saishioten can grant were made generations ago in an underground necropolis where hundreds of worshipers formed the belief system and the Jikogisei chakra. Here is where it was found that you cannot attain great power without sacrifice. If you display power by taking another’s away, the best way to keep some of it is by presenting it to the lords of the underworld.
Clan Leader: Masaka Zange leads this clan as they believe him to be the incarnation of their Lord. Jutsu:
Common Traits: Many believers have sacrificial tattoos and symbolic jewelry. Some extremists have a paler almost gray skin tone.
Abilities: Killings that are able to be made during a ritual are praised upon and can come to a sweeter fruition, granting abilities. Different abilities could be made by astute ninja by using their faith and the right creativity. An additional downfall to any of the abillities that arent strictly ninjutsu are that they can not work, if a person does not truely believe in Saishioten.
Among the highest honors in Saishioten is the Jikogisei, the self sacrifice. This is when a believer has his body torn to shreds and brought back to life as the living dead, making their pain and injury threshold zombie like.
An even higher honor is the Jikogisei chakra, a dark chakra made of anguish. This chakra was made years ago through the siphoning of the life essence and chakra of monks and priests being burned alive. The chakra was so vile it killed the first person to bare it. Its power is vast but causes the flesh of one who uses it to die and disintegrate. From then on it was understood that only one who had become a Jikogisei could use such chakra without death, hence the name.

Description:
"For this they are rewarded with longer lives, and if they do happen to fall in battle, their afterlives will be spent in hells hierarchy rather than with the average doomed soul." Your clan's members can believe in this, but that doesn't mean this will actually be true. I just want to clarify this right now.
Abilities:
Ability 1) Doesn't make sense. This is basically saying characters can create jutsu if they believe enough in Shaishoten, but cannot use the other clan abilities if they do not believe in Shaishoten? Please elaborate or come up with some reasoning as to why this works...
Ability 2) Denied. Any ability that allows you to come back to life without some form of compensation or equivalent exchange will be denied. Tensei (revival) techniques will also not be allowed as a Common Clan Ability, just to add onto that last statement.
Ability 3) I think any form of excess chakra that is not brought on by technique or through the use of a spirit is going to be denied. Especially something that seems like it will be abused like I think this will. It's a "vile" chakra that acts like Biju chakra, and brings death to the user. Secondly, it doesn't have any mention of how the chakra is stored or transfered to the user, and it doesn't seem like something that the clan would have so much as just a single member of the clan. So, register this as an equipment piece or a technique if you want it, but I'm saying no. You may ask Bun or Haywire for a second opinion if you feel the need to ask for one.

I don't have much time at the moment but I thought I'd give my views on this anyway. I'll try to expand on it later, sorry! I'm afraid I agree with the above comments, though I'd like to add one of my own. I'm strongly against this. Mainly because it means that these jutsu (which are obviously very strong, and, in my opinion, overpowered) can only be used by people who worship your character as a god; essentially, either you or your minions. What I don't like about this should be obvious. I'm not so much against making such a powerful ability (although I do think it's overpowered and would like you to tone it down a bit, according to the points detailed above) but I am against the fact that all users of it have to be loyal to your character, and any who turn away from your character (and therefore no longer believe in the Saishioten), lose their abilities. Oh, by the way, I do think that this could make some very interesting plots if you can tone it down a bit so we can accept it! That's all I've got time for, but I'll take another look over it later and add to this post if I see anything else. Or I'll just post again if anybody replies before that.

Yeah Senken and Haywire, I understand 100%. I had some of the abilities listed in there that I took out becase TriangleBun told me to. They were vage discriptions of them since I wasnt registering them here, just giving them some elaboration so the reason this is a clan and not just a religion could make sense. As for the being unable to use the techniques if you leave, yeah in part ya got me . I didn't want people joining just for some abilities and leaving since you technically can have a bloodline clan and then join this one; but at the same time it makes sense. If Hidan were to convert and no longer believe in Jashin(I think thats what it was called) how could he do his technique with the blood, not truely believing in why it works. So if its a technique that works off of the premice of ones belief system rather than the workings of chakra and nin/gen-jutsu and their beliefs change, thats why thats there. Granted this only works for a few of the abillities within the clan, the strongest one, the chakra, actually once it is given could only be taken away the same way any other unatural chakra sorce could. Side note to that, I actually dont plan on giving many people, if any this chakra, and if I do it will be ICly only, and not a char who has it in their history(this one char excluded of course). All that being said I hope you will get a better grasp on the Jutsu when I submit them. Oh and that reminds me, the other ability doesn't bring the dead back to life but I will completely elaborate on that and its five man process clearing things up when I submit the toned down jutsu, and then this can be accepted afterwards.

Well, I normally would go into a rant about how Hidan's techniques and skills were ninjutsu and therefor may or may not be affected by his religion and that his technique alone may allow for infinite life, but these are unanswered questions so I'll leave it alone.
Alright. I'll wait for you to post up the jutsu first, as you have said you would do so. Until then, consider this clan approved as a group and family, but the abilities put on hold until further notice.
The thread will then be moved the approved area when the jutsu are approved and this page has been edited to fit the descriptions of the abilities and jutsu.
EDIT~ But I would ask that you do not refer to your own character as a "God". If a character happens to believe in the spirit there of your character's religion, then they should be fine to use the skills. That means even if they don't believe your character is the second coming of that spirit, they would still be able to use the techniques, seeing as they just have to believe in the almighty power that is your clan's deity.
No matter how much you want him to be one, I am not going to pass any "Deities" through registration. So if your character is the actual 'deity' of your clan, as in that idol in which this group calls their god, then I'm going to have to deny the clan and all that the character is. I don't mind if the character is under the delusion that he is a deity, but being a natural born god will not be approved.

Just need the jutsu, then it's good to go.
As for the whole "god" discussion, that's what religion is. People that choose to believe that someone is an almighty "God" even if other people think that the entire belief is retarded and could never be true. In the religion of the Saishioten, Masaka is in fact "God" despite being an ordinary guy, because people choose to believe it. His character is just a normal guy with a bloodline that has taken the darker path of life both in emotion and choice of jutsu, but in the eyes of the Saishioten, Masaka is God. Simple as that. Nothing wrong with it.
